    My grand daughter

Sunday, we took my MIL (her birthday) to a Japanese place called STIX where they cook the food right at your table and do it with FLAIR! My son, daughter-in-law and Ahna (almost one) came with us.
The food was great, the chef put on a great show cooking the meal, but the topper was watching Ahna watch the chef! Her little eyes never left him. It was a real hoot. Even funnier was watching her scarf down the chefs work. I think I have a little international diner in the making.

We saw the show once at a Benihana in Hawaii. It does get your attention and I can see where a child would just eat it all up, pun intended.

My oldest is 15 and a freshmen in high school. Next Saturday night there is a father daughter dance and I thought I would take her on an official date which would include dinner at a place here in Columbus called "The Japanese Steak House." I have been there for lunch and dinner meetings and the show is great and the food is wonderful. I think she will be amazed by it.

We have a restaurant like that around here. I've only been there once, but it was entertaining, to say the least. Food was excellent too. Not inexpensive, but a good place for a special evening.

We just went to one of those for my birthday on Sunday. Our local hibachi place has lunch prices, even on the weekend. It is a pretty decent deal for much less than dinner. They also make some good sushi that you can order ala carte. I always love watching the little ones when they light the onion volcano.
