    Please Help me!!!!

I figured that would get everybody's attention.

I have been a needlepointer for years. Well I have gotten old and had to buy a light with a magnifing glass so I can see to still needlepoint. I enjoy needlepoint and have alway thought I would like a needlepoint stand to make it easier. So this is where all of you come in.

1)Have any of you ever made a needlepoint stand.
2)If so do you still have the plans so Sam might be able to build me one
3)I would like one that would work for a Lazy Boy and a left handed sticher. (not sure that matters)

Thanks for you help I know I can count on you guys.

Never built one myself, but I found some assembly instructions online that Sam should be able to reverse engineer.

Well, shoot, add a couple lever arms to that and it can do double duty as a sandbox toy too.

If asked to imagine what a needle point holder might look like, I would not have been anywhere close, I guess that just goes to show how smart the other folks around here are...

How would a needlepoint point stand compare to a quilting hoop? I know there are several types of quilting hoops with stands that are very adjustable. Maybe Sam could look at some of those and come up with a plan. You might put him on to build a new recliner with a built in needlepoint stand

              Ken,

That is very funny. This is the one I saw on line that got me to post this thread. I have emailed it to Sam and he hasn't had a chance to read it yet. So we will see how much trouble "we" are both in.

                  Yeah, whew, thanks Thom.
Adele, we definitely want to see 'in progress' pics of Sam building that multi-jointed thing-a-mo-jig, especially his face!

Don't hold your breath I have been waiting for him to build me a bed for 12 years or so.

Maybe a few (dozen) nights on the couch might"wake" him up.

Wouldn't the couch be a step up from the floor?
