Another thank you to the Forum...

Carole & I have no children, so I guess Woodley accepted the role. We are still reeling.

Just being able to tell you guys - and your wonderful support messages, means so much us.

Thank you for being such good friends - even if remotely.

And thank you Sam - for allowing me to share with this great group of people.

Sorry to hear that, Rod. That makes it even harder. If anything, we're the ones who should appreciate the opportunity to share the same site with you.

Never had any children myself, though my wife has 3. Not quite the same. My pets have always been my "kids" and it's hard to lose any. My sympathies to you and yours.

My family is a 14 year old English Cocker. She is blind now and probably doesn't have much time left on earth. It is going to be rough to loose her.

          Rod,

My deepest regrets at a loss of Woodley that was so near and dear to you and your Carole.

          sincerely,

I know that you are going to miss Woodley. Your closeness to Woodley can be seen through the several posts over the years here with that picture. My condolences to you and Carole.

I've been very busy and missed the original thread, Rod. Sorry for the lost...

We lost our tabby to renal failure also. Down to the last and that little calico is not getting younger. I have lost the 4 dogs and two cats in the last 6 years. I have childrren, but that doesn't make my love for animals and sorrow any less when it happens.

I suggest you and she go to a shelter and look around. I have a feeling that some little furry creature might be waiting for you now and hoping you show up...

              Regards...

Sorry for your lost. We had a cat, Brazos, for almost 18 years. After so many years together, the communication between animal and owner ( I don't which is which) becomes of the same level. I still miss him after 4 years.
