    Finally Back in the Shop!

*WOOHOO* After 4 weeks I am finally back working in the shop! My finger is still tender and I am not able to use it completely but I can manage. My first project was making a sled to hold rails for sliding dovetail joinery.

For those that missed what happened:

This forum is for any topic that you would normally talk about at the office "around the coffee pot". Jokes, tall tales, and true stories are welcome as long as they are clean and in good taste. I only ask that you steer away from topics on religion or politics. Go ahead and pull up a chair and pour yourself a cup of coffee and enjoy the conversation.

    how it happened

With luck I should be able to complete LOML's quilt rack next weekend, that is all but the finish.

Glad to hear you're back among the living, Mark. I was just thinking about sending a PM, asking how you were doing.

I'm a little surprised you didn't make a set of armour for protection.

      Mark,

Glad to hear you are back in the shop. Do you know yet if you will lose function in that finger? From the weather reports I hope you stay warm up there.

Assuming I get the feeling back in the tip all I will have is some scars. I think I got really lucky that I did not lose any part of the finger.

I just read the epic story. Nasty injury. Thank you for posting the grizzly details and the step-by-step of what you did wrong. We all need the occasional reminder to help us out.

I'm getting back into the shop after a far-too-long absence (nearly 3 years). Chief on my mind aside from remembering everything I forgot in that time is safety. Thanks for the help in that department.

First welcome back and congratulations (bet it's fun to type).
              Second, again thank the wife!

Third, why can't you finish it (finish, not complete)? Need to get more blood red for it?
