    Super Bowl Action

Never bet any real money on a football game in my life, as I really could care less about football. My wife is a HUGE football fan. I have resolved this issue this year by betting the game. Again, I know nothing about football, so here is my question : What do you think of these bets?

$500 on under at 48 (bought it earlier this week, most now dropped to 47 or 47.5 which is a good sign)

$500 on Colts -7. Good bet? Thought?

I actually have a standing offer on the under bet where a friend will pay $50 for my over action. Should I take the $50, sell him the 48 under? Seems like a good deal for .5 - 1 point right?

I'd give you my opinion, but since I'm not a betting man, I have no idea what in **** you're talking about.

The Colts last possession scared me! I knew they were going to blow the under! Heck, even the 47 under was good! The opening few minutes had me scared as well!

The opening kick off / return was exciting, but big games aren't normally decided by big plays. Consistency usually prevails as it did today.

so, with a total of 46, how'd you make out?

and did you take the colts with the 7?

I dunno, if I were the Bears I'd start examining Sexy Rexy's bank account to see if any pre-game wire transfers came in from Indianapolis.

Oh, and I gotta say that was the best half tiime show in a long, long time. Say what you will about the man, but he put on a great performance, all live, none phoned in or lipsynched or etc. And he got that shadow phallic guitar behind the curtain stuff by the sensors to boot!

well, whatever, repeat the Chicago mantra: Next year!

I thought the same about the nameless entertainer's performance Curt. It was refreshing to see an artist actually performing live on TV. The only "memorex" I could detect was the marching band. There is no possible way they could have kept in sync with the stage.

I missed the half-time show and part of the 3rd quarter. We had to drive home and get my daughter to bed. The rest of the game was a bit sloppy but I think that was weather. I am not the least bit surprised at Grossman's performance.

As Ric notes I won the under and the Colts -7.

I agree that the Prince performance was killer. I personally have always really like Prince. All Along The Watchtower is by far my fav song in the world. I prefer Dylan/Hendrix/Dead doing the song, but Prince certainly did it justice.
