    For woodworkers????

Today I received one of those packets in the mail with the reply cards inside for products "For woodworkers". You know the kind. Almost half the cards had nothing to do with woodworking. I found cards for gardening, coin collecting, back pain, you name it. Then....

I found a card that had to do with "erectile dysfunction". It was trying to sell you the idea that their product was better than others. One line that caught the eye was "compare the size" to other technologies. Following this card was another that said "Screw testers wanted"! On further inspection, I found out it was from McFeely's.

That gives new meaning to the question; "Got Wood?"

I get the packets and regular stuffed fliers with all kinds of offers. I saw one from a clothing company with "carpenters pants" that had all kinds of really neat pockets that were reinforced with some space age thread. The pants had a special pocket for cell phones, a loop for a hammer, special dividers for screwdrivers, five I think, a crescent wrench/slip joint pliers pouch, belt clip hooks for drills, saws and routers.

My wife said once I get loaded up to work, either I won't be able to walk, or my pants will fall down.

I normally wear a toolbelt and painter's paints. The painter's pants have a lot of pockets for the small stuff -screw driver, pliers etc. My wife gets them at Goodwill. But now that I have a bucket boss I may not need my tool belt as often.

That's when you'll need a place for the splints.
