    Longest Thread

Since the Thread the "Song Game" is getting up there in replies. I wonder what the record is for the longest Thread? Think Sam would let us try for it?

Has this one had many replies?
It's got to be us, because there are a lot more of them!

Well I think we're a LONG way off ... do a search for "Longest Forum Thread" ... I came across a posting about one with 72,817 ...

But I could get the link to work ... I actually find it hard to believe though

        Quote from search ...

"On the IGN Halo board there was one that was over 2500 pages long with over 64000 replies. Then it went crazy and they had to kill it."

Well that question is answered. To get that big a thread we would all have stay out of the shop. But we are adults we wouldn't go crazy.

No doubt this is a good thread, but I've seen it before on other forums, and it did exceptionally well there too. Maybe check the "Guiness book of world records".

I think the "crazy" part might had more to do with the software / computer than the people on it. When you start getting things that are 100 / 1000 / 10,000 /100,000 more than what they would expect to be normal or high, strange things can and DO happen. Normally safety features are built and planned for, but it is hard to plan for them ALL.

I think the longest thread TB is referring to is the longest thread for this forum.

Recipe for worlds longest thread :

                      Go to woodnet.net

Start new thread entitled "Bill Pentz Sucks, Dust Hazards, China v. Taiwan Production, Amazon Deal, SAW STOP IS OVER PRICED!"

                      Watch meltdown.

                      Enjoy.

Even though I can not find it I think the old "what do you look like" topic would give the current one a run for the money.
