    Running from the Highway Patrol

A guy was tooling down the highway only slightly exceeding the speed limit. In his rear view mirror he saw the lights and heard the siren of a highway patrol unit. Without thinking he instinctively sped up and for a few blocks tried to outrun the patrolman. However, he realized that he had really screwed up and quickly pulled over. The patrolman told him that he only wanted to tell him that he had a taillight out, and why did he try to run away from him. The driver said "a few months ago my wife left me for a highway patrolman and I thought he was trying to bring her back." The patrolman let him go.

That's a good one. I think it was Henny Youngman that said "I take my wife everywhere, but she keeps finding her way home."

Good one Dave. I like that because I know a few guys that would try that.

You know I could try that one too
