Oklahoma Coach Stoops died in a plane crash and went to Heaven.
He was met by God as he approached the Pearly Gates. God said that as he had done such a good job on earth leading the Sooners he had earned a house in Heaven, and he should be proud of the fact that he had earned a house because not everyone was awarded a house of their own.
God led Coach Stoops to a little ramshackle house decked out in faded team colors with a dilapidated Sooner Flag flying from the flagpole out front.
Coach Stoops was glad he had earned a house, but he looked down the road and there stood a Mansion festooned with bright Orange and Blue and a Boise State Broncos Flag proudly flying from its flagpole.
Coach looked at God and said: “I really don’t understand. I come from a storied program that has won National Championships played for the big 12 title numerous times and I get this little rundown house and Coach Peterson gets a mansion like this. Why?”
God looked at Coach Stoops and said; “That’s not Chris’ house, THAT’S MY HOUSE!”
