Craftsman supplier codes for tools

A while ago, a member posted a link where the manufacturer, etc could be looked up of a tool based on the the number next to the long Sears part number. I've searched the forum in all the ways I could think of and can't find the post. Does anyone remember that post or am I dreaming?
