My 5 year old son LOVES watching Americas Funniest Videos, and they have that sort of a "look what a mess the kids made" thing all the time. My wife and I both wonder why the first reaction is to get a camera. If my kids made a mess like that, I wouldn't want any of (my) the aftermath recorded...

This kind of reminds me of when my next oldest son was little. The guy next door to us just built a garage, and he was painting the siding. My little guy loved Darrell, and tried to be near him all he could. While Darrell was painting the siding, my son found an open can of paint inside the garage. He painted the inside! Darrell's wife was po'd, but Darrell thought it was funny!

When we were in japan, I buuilt a 4 poster bed. The last coat of varnish was drying when my son and a friend's daughter decided to add some yellow spray paint. What the mom's did to those kids before I got home wouldn't end up on Funniest Videos. Court TV, maybe, as evidence!
