Painting like that should only be carried out by curvaceous members of the fairer sex, IMO. That's something I'd like to see happen. Frequently.

I would vote for suspension. School is right about teachers being role models and argument about separation of school work and private life does not apply if all students know about his outside work. You want to be anonymous - make effort to remain such. The right of free speech also does not apply to teachers - what they teach in school is subject to approval. Free speech generally means you cannot go to jail for what you said, does not mean you cannot be released from job.
I have to respectfully disagree with Alex on this one. Butt painting might not be the most enlightening second career but it's hardly corrupting compared with the other things high school kids are exposed to, and it's not like the teacher is parading nude in front of his students, either.
I'd have a much different opinion if we was moonlighting as a male stripper or selling photos of himself nude but coverd in paint, or getting arrested for smoking pot or DUI. Those actions are problematic. Using his rear end as a paint brush is pretty harmless and district officials are being petty and foolish in my opinion..
