    Great Day Under the Sink

Today I installed new fixture in the Master Bath Vanity. As my LOML takes care of our 2 1/2 year old Grand Daughter Tori, Poppa had help. It took way longer than it should have but it was the most fun I ever had doing something under a sink. LOML kept coming down to see what all the laughter was about. I told her I am retired and have all day to do it and if Tori is helping all the better. At least with Tori there I didn't go off when something unexpected happened. To hear say OH man" when something happened made me laugh so I kept my temper and relaxed. The third picture she has a very large pair of Channel lock pliers and is trying to move the nut on the drain trap.

That's so great, you have a little helper. I hate plumbing. In the beginning (the last century) I did plumbing and electrical that was needed to install my work. Whatever I could do to make a buck.

When installing a kitchen, I would usually (without drama) set my toolboxes across all the doorways to the room so I wouldn't have an audience.

I hate those jobs too. But I don't remember having that kind of help. That would make a difference.

Looks like it was a good day. I am glad you both had fun. My daughter is about that age and likes to help, but not for that long.

What was really fun, after we finished I taught her how to eat Oreos and milk. Now she picked up on that real well. I prefer dunking the whole thing, while she takes it apart, eats the filling and then dunks each half. Then LOML insisted on cleaning off her face, trouble was we each had one more to eat. Grandma can never win when Poppa is with the Grandkids. My motto is it all comes off in the wash, through them in the tub and the clothes in washer and a hour later everybody is clean.
If you notice she is in her PJ's in one picture because she got her clothes wet getting under the sink, when one of the supply line started leaking when I loosened the fitting (forgot to turn off main valve) her response was "OH MAN!" grandma's was, Tom what the **** are you doing under there as we lay there wet and laughing.

Looks like a fun day, but it wouldn't work for me. The kid would get an education the parents wouldn't approve of!

I actually kinda like plumbing, especially when I get to sweat pipes. My daughter is 1.5 years old, and when she managed to invade the bathroom, her first objective is to wage war upon the toilet paper roll. But I expect soon enough she'll be taking more keen interest in my home improvement projects.

Denying her the torch is going to be tough.
