Christmas - Real or Fake Tree?

Do you do real or fake Christmas tree? I do real. Getting a real tree is one of the last traditions I still have from when I was growing up.

    Real!!!!

"REAL" .... for the following reasons ......

    1.) It just smells better
    2.) It just looks better
3.) the cat likes it better
4.) what fun is watering a fake tree?
5.) a fake tree is like a girly calendar with one picture for all 12 months ..... it just doesn't make sense
6.) Why should I store a tree all year long when the good Lord keeps one fresh for free???
    7.) it's the only exercise I get
8.) the trash guys need to earn their keep after the holidays
9.) would YOU build a bookcase out of Trex???
    10.) my wife says so
If it ain't broke.. don't fix it!!!... but you can always 'hop it up'

Where exactly do you grow them? I am looking for a choose and cut farm somewhere near RTP NC.

Well Crokett, I'm on Highway 27 in western Harnett County about 9 miles west of Lillington. I estimate that this would be about and hour-and-a-half drive from Mebane. I'd love to have your business, but you're likely to find a good farm much closer to your digs. If you'd like, try searching for closer locations at these links:

I like real trees, but with three little rug rats fake is much cleaner to deal with ...

We have 2 trees one in the livingroom and one for the grandchildren in the sunroom. We had real one up until about 5 years ago. It just became too much of a hassel to go out and find a reasonably priced tree that would last until after New Years. I was reall particular in looking for the perfect tree. I used to go up in the mountains behind our family's cabin and get a nice Silver Tip but the Forest Service put a stop to that. We still decorate them but it is just easier to put them away with the light left on not have the fire hazzard. We still get fir branches for weaths and other decoration and for the smell.

Perhaps that is because the ones available at Orchard Hardware are being cut now and delivered starting Monday 20 Nov....don't ask me how I know this.

I love the smell of the real tree but we went to the fakes for the convienence and lesser mess. Found one that looks almost real last year that is prelit. Only saw one other that I liked better but it only came with white lights.

Real. All to their own choices but for Tina and I, it just ain't Christmas without a real live tree. We usually go find a Cedar in the wild and cut our own.

I had to vote real even though I'd rather have a fake one. Belinda insists we have a real one. Now, I'm willing to go with a live tree that I can plant in the yard afterwards, but I was out voted on that too

Fake. Wife is allergic to real. Have pre-lit tree, somewhat real looking. Pre-lit saves TONS of time!

Fake-----would rather have real if they figured a way to grow lights on them.

Fake and prelit. Scored one post-season last year (for thirty bucks, down from 200), so it is unused as yet.
