    A humbling moment

So early this morning while I was getting my daughter dressed she asked if she could watch one of her kiddie videos. My inlaws are visiting so they are babysitting in the mornings after I leave. I told my daughter she could watch one after I left.

Later after gramma and grandpa were up she asked Grandpa if she could watch a movie. He told her to ask daddy. So she comes over and asks to be picked up. Then she gives me a hug, says she loves me and asks as sweetly as she can if she can watch a video. I reminded her of what I said earlier. Without missing a beat she says 'Can you go to work now Daddy?' She spent the next 20 minutes asking if I was ready to go to work yet.

Actually never seen it. She is still watching Barney and the Wiggles and has hjust gotten into Dora. She doesn't watch Teletubbies much any more.

Don't take it personally. My son works my wife and I too! I have a standing joke calling myself "chopped liver".

Just wait till she is a teenager, and then it will be getting the car and not a movie.
