Back to Standard Time

Bit strange driving to work in full daylight this morning. I my case, I don't see any real energy savings. I am up before daylight so I need lights in the morning all the time. Maybe a bit less at night during DST.

Personally, I like the extra hour of daylight in the evening.

If im asleep when the clocks roll back its ok. When Im duty I hate it. Its an extra hour of duty.
My son used to sleep in his crib just fine. When we rolled the clocks back two years ago he never slept in his crib again. I thought maybe if we buy him a bed he would sleep in that. Nope. He is almost three and still sleeps with us. I hate it. Last night I put him in his bed because he fell assleep downstairs. He woke up crying around midnight so I brought him in bed with us. One of these days Im gonna lock him in his room until he falls asleep by his door. I have kept him in there about 20-30 minutes but he just never stops screaming. light,no light, music, movies nothing works.
The movies keep him occupied a while but not long enough to fall asleep.

I used to wake up and hour early (target time was 6AM) because my body hurt and I couldn't sleep anymore.

Now I still wake up an hour early only now it is 4AM.

The watch receives time broadcasts, so unless they get the time wrong at the transmitter in Fort Collins, I'm not worried about that.

It used to be that I'd have to go into work and adjust the time on many of the computers, but operating systems today, and NTP, fix everything but the aging telephone system and the wall clocks.
