    Danny Rolling's Final Schedule

Heard on the news this AM that he gets his last meal at 10 AM, and his last shower at 2 PM, and his last moments at 6 PM. What a waste of food and shower water.

As one who grew up in Gainesville, and was at UF when it happened, I could not agree more.

Just a run of the mill serial killer. Should have happened at least a decade ago, especially since he confessed. I don't understand what the hold up was.

                  Just read the link....

Yuck. Despite my aversion to the death penalty, this mad dog definitely needs to be put down.

Personally, I think he should get the last meal, etc. If we as a society treat him as he treated his victims, we are no better.

At any rate, this whacko is getting what he deserves.

Nothing run-of-the-mill about him - he had his own original brand of brutality. (It's thought the movie Scream was based on his work).

Methinks it must have been scary in the neighbourhood till he was caught. And he got into the mood 'in spurts', having killed a family a year before his real magnum opus.

Anybody wanting to know more of him, Thom2's link above is an excellent place to go.

I will never understand why a serial murderer that is convicted and sentanced to death can be on death row for decades - the whole time being fed and sheltered with our tax dollars. (especially when their victims tend to be brutalized with no regard for human decency.)

I have no problem with them getting to appeal their conviction, which seems to be mandatory - but if the killer confesses or is caught red-handed and no real doubt exists to their guilt -- their sentence should be carried out quickly -within months, not years and certainly not decades.

                      Sorry for the small rant.

Bill: It's the nature of the beast. There will always be attorneys trying to stretch out the appeal process. Some for money, some for personal beliefs, and some for the notoriety. The anti-death penalty crowd is rabid. That crowd will even jump in and file appeals when the convict has stated that they desire to die and wish no further appeals. I'm at a loss as to how they get standing to appear in court, but they do.

I had the enjoyment of that being my freshman year at UF and getting calls from my mom nearly every day asking me to come home. Was not the best time. He should have been put to death along time ago.
