    Did the right thing

The responses to my previous post about needing to spend money on tools got me thinking.
I've already spent alot in the last year on myself.
So LOML and I were in the new HD tonight and she had mentioned recently that the fridge is making funny noise sometimes. We replaced stove and DW 2 yrs ago with black so I asked her which one she liked. We both liked the Maytag French Door with Bottom freezer but it was WAY more than the GE SxS.
After going home and telling her I needed some lumber which I did I went and bought her the Maytag.

Told her I bought the GE so she can be surprised when they deliver it.

Oh yeah, got 10% off so I bought a BT3100.

You did do the right thing and it will pay off in the long run. Good Boy. See we can do the right thing once in awhile and when we do it is usually BIG.

From your model #, it appears to have ice available through the door?

I'd be interested in seeing it pump the ice up from the freezer down below, and seeing how long that lasts.

Can you guys give Mark a lesson or two. He is thoughtful and actually bought me roses on our tenth anniversary and left them in the car for me when I got off work.

But a new fridge or oven or even a stove top would be wonderful.

Your asking us to do something dangerous! As we just had a suprise party for my mothers 60th a while back, I very much can see this backfiring. (my mothers comment was, he went straight from appliances to trashy lingere, in a very po'd voice)
YOU HAVE TO TELL HIM, NO NOT HINT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
          Otherwise we get feedback like:
"Oh, a new fridge, wonder if it will be as cold as the bedroom" OR
"A new stove, what are you saying my cooking was burnt?"

The Birthday party was the FIRST decent gift he had given her for her birthday, according to her.

I got the same one a couple of weeks ago, I like to cook so from my standpoint she'll love it. It's got some cool beer can holders in the door too.
As for the ice through the door, the ice maker is housed in a separate compartment in the fridge. Automatically stops making ice when it's full, no more flipping the maker off.
Kids leave the door open all the time, don't worry it beeps at you to tell you the door has been left open.
