    Did Amazon stop pricematching?

I've noticed recently that you no longer see any pricematch option on any of the item sold by Amazon. Has anybody been able to successfully pricematch an item recently Any info would be greatly appreciated.

Tried recently, and their response, was they do not have a price match policy, sorry. I think they lost their shorts on that one (from my research pre asking them, they never had an "offical" policy, they just used to do it.
She couldn't tell the difference between the escape pod, and the bathroom. We had to go back for her.........................Twice.

Even so, I'd recommend calling their 800# and trying - I called them recently to price match a scanner, and they mentioned that they didn't price match... a week later, a credit mysteriously showed up in my credit card account for the difference. Go figure. I didn't complain, and this taught me that it doesn't hurt to ask. (of course, don't get your hopes up though)

Never used their 800 number, however, I think you might actually have better luck AFTER buying, since they DO have a return policy! Niether here nor there for me, I cut into my camera budget, when the router I've been waiting for went on special on Amazon. Now with some of the things I have done for work, and a few others, it's been hinted for me to hold off.

That's the only time I've tried using the 800 number (i.e., after the buying) - and my experience with that is it's better to call within normal US work hours - if you call after hours (e.g. after 5pm), there's a good chance of getting a foreign call center, and my luck with them has been less than stellar.
