    Embarq Dsl

Anyone using EMBARQ (aka Sprint) for their DSL service? Decided I'm tired of paying Time-Warner for zillions of cable channels I never watch, and cable internet. For what I need and do, DSL and DISH should work fine at half the price.

We live 3 miles from Disney in Orlando and Embarq has been great
We were with Sprint but now it is Embarq
The service is great we have only had a few times when it was down but came back up QUICKLY. Cant' blame them for auto wrecks that take out lines etc...

We get ads for EMBARQ/Sprint. We have been on DSL, bundled - Bellsouth, Direct TV, and Cingular. Getting a great deal. Would only consider cable to try Comcast. Heard it's quicker than DSL. In the beginning, when LOML first got a computer and there was dial-up, and then DSL, I wondered is there a difference in speed between psssst, and psst. The answer is yes.

FWIW - I don't have embarq, but I do get DSL from local telco, having changed from cable modem about a year ago.

At that time we were experiencing highly variable performance from the cable modem, at about $45/mo. DSL has been much more reliable and consistently fast, at only $14.95/mo.

        I'm happy with it.
