    MLB Playoffs

Is anyone even watching? I'm a huge baseball fan, and am a faithful and diehard Tigers fan.

I'm in my glory as we knocked the Yankees off and are now up 1-0 in the ALCS. This team just continues to amaze me.

Another late night game tonight. It's worth every second though.

I happened to be fortunate enough to go to Game 4 of the ALDS where the Tigers clinched against the Yanks. What a great game and experience. The team was classy with their celebration that came out onto the field instead of staying in their clubhouse. They thanked the fans continually for the support, it was great.

Just had to throw this out there.

Well, the Tigers are going to the world series. I'm 27, and don't really remember them as the playoff teams of the 80's, but more so as the terrible organization that has lost the most games in the past 10 years.

Despite that, I held season tickets at 2 different points (during losing seasons of course) and try to get to games despite living across the state.

Now, I can't quite bring myself to paying 500+ for a stupid ticket to one of the WS games. But, I'm worried it truly is one of those once in a lifetime games.

I say have a party with a bunch of friends at your house to watch the game!! Take the $500.00 that you would have spent on a ticket and buy yourself a nice Leigh D4R

Or you can send that Leigh D4R to a Cardinals fan...

Another diehard baseball guy here. If you cut me, I bleed Cardinal red. I remember the 67 and 68 WS against Detroit. Bob Gibson was a master. That was back in the day when the Series had day games. The principal of my elementary school had the game on in his office, and I used to get in trouble so I could get sent to the office.

I'm still at school, so I don't know how tonight's game against the Mets is going. Sunday's was a real bummer.

I have been around for the 1968 and 1984 championships, and I think there pitching will prove to be the difference this year. GO TIGERS

My wife is from MI. She was moaning about how the Tigers deserve to win because they haven't won in such a long time. I grew up in IL. A Cubs fan.
            Talk about a long time.

            All the same, go Tigers!

I have 3 friends who have had Tigers season tickets since Comerica Park opened. I'm the odd person out.

They were there when they lost 119 games a couple years ago. So to say the least, this would be a HUGE win for the Tygs.

Hard to write this without sounding like its made up but here it goes:

Friend #1: Got her name in Sunday's paper being the first in line to buy an American League Champions jersey so she could wear it to work (Emily)
              http://www.freep.com/apps/pbcs.dll/a...=2006610160377

Friend #2: Wrote lryics to "Whos your Tiger" with a local Detroit band Natives of the New Dawn. Unofficial but good tune Google Whos your Tiger Natives of the new dawn (Paul)

Friend #3: Landed a job in the Tigers organization this year (Ron Wade, Marketing Coordinator. He is baseball super nut. He moved to minnesota to get experience in the minor league team - Saint Paul Saints and had to wear the mascot "Muddona" a couple times (check Saint Paul Saints Muddona) Probably the luckiest dog of the crazy Tiger friends, as he would get a ring. I will take pictures of his and and post it if they do!

I will be honoring their total fanatisicm with freshly made scroll saw plaques. My idea would be to make the plaque the size of a regulation home plate, then scroll the 'Old English D' out of 1/4 inch oak. I will post that as well! Only problem is I dont have my Bt3100 yet, so I'm really tempted to scroll out the home plate. I need patience!

Well I am a die hard Yankee fan! Detroit deserved to win. They played brilliant and the Yankees forgot there were still more games to play after game 1. Who would've thought Kenny Rogers could pitch like that. He didn't in the post season when he was with the Yanks .

That being said, I am rooting for the Cards over the Mets (hate the Mets second to the Red Sox) and then I am hoping for a game 7 of the series. I think I am leaning towards rooting for the Tigers because I like Jim Leyland. I also think the Tigers will win regardless of who they play. I think they are better than both NL teams, but then again, that's why they play the games.

Heard this today: What do the Cardinals, Cubs, and Tigers all have in common?

None of them have won a world series in their new stadiums....

I was at the gym, watching without sound. That first two-run rally by the Cards was beautiful. Nothing flashy, just a lot of key hits to the right side and runners moving forward.

                        Baseball

HOWDY FOLKS -- I have been MUCHO busy with my son's Soccer, Basketball and Baseball this past 2 years. I am now Coaching only Baseball and took our Oceanside 9/10 yr ALL-Star old team to the semifinals in our district (San Diego County). We lost to Rancho Buena Vista (same league that went to the USA finals last year).
Since my Padres and Red Sox are out, I do not know who I want. The Tigers pissed my off when the let go of Trammel and Cluck; but it looks like the old man has them playing at a high level.
I guess I would have to go with the Tigers -- I was hoping for a repeat of 1984 with a series win. The Pads have to go after a solid bat this off-season or they are going nowhere....
