There goes the Jointer and Big Screen TV

Got up at 5am, went into kitchen to make coffee. I then discovered that the fridge had quit working and every thing in freezer was starting to defrost. Went over to the store at 6am and bought 20 pounds of dry Ice. The Freezer is now at 28deg. and the fridge is at 40deg. Decided not to fix it, 15 years old and the cost to repair does not warrant it $500 for a new compressor besides the $100 for the guy to come out and tell me whats wrong.. So will use the money we were saving for a big screen tv and jointer for a new Fridge. I was about a month away from Ordering 6 1/8 jointer from Grizzley. So now at 9am will go out and get a new one. I have had this one repaired a number of times, this one seemed to have one problem after another so no more. Once the new Fridge get hew we will have go all new appliance in the last 3 years including a new heater/AC and water heater, should be good to go for a while, I hope.

If you have one in your area, you might want to check out the Sears outlet. I have now bought a few appliances there, saved lots of money. It's mostly scratch and dent stuff, but it's not that noticable on most of it, and if you get the right one, might be completly hidden. While it might not get you both the jointer and the TV, the savings might let you get at least one of them....

            Update on Refrig.

Left the house at 9am. Tried both Circut City and Best Buy as they were close niether one could accomodate me on delivery today. So I went the appliance store near were I was raised. Got a good price and it was delivered and installed by noon, Used the dry ice to jump start the cool down and it is now 0 deg F in the freezer. My big worry was I have medicine for my dog that needs to be refridgerated, didn't worry so much about the food. Sence July we have spent about $3000 on vet bills and was hoping to get caught up this month, didn't work. Told my LMOL to hang in there we are just going through a bad spell. Now all the major things we have are new or low mileage execpt us and there is not alot we can do about that. Also told her I am not trading her in on new model they require to much maintainance and are to hard to train. Made a few point there, also bought her some flowers when I went to the store to replace my granddaughters" popcycles that melted and get more dry ice. Just us old folks and the old dog and cat. Now for Ice maker to start working. Any way my BIL has a jointer I can use for some Christmas porjects. I have a whole stack of that Lumber Liquidators Wood Pack to use for the projects, so I will his over here to use later this month. Strange how you can sail along and alls quiet and then bam all h#!@ breakes loose. Thank God it is not something serious.

LOML might complain about the Jointer in the kitchen or having to walk out to the shop to get the stuff for dinner. The sound of the Jointer might interfer with Ophra, or court TV and that is a no no. Good idea though.
