Got back from the Wood Workers Show in Buffalo late last night. Not counting the 5 hour drive and the cost of gas, what a ball! As I posted earlier, the outfit missed NY State last year, which grieved me sorely. Even if you don't plan on buying anything its still a great way to spend a weekend. My "across the road buddy" and another woodworker friend took off very early Friday morning and were at the Erie County Fairgrounds by 1 PM., checked in to a motel and then off to the show. The idea being to scope out all the booths that afternoon and then hit the show on Sat. morn to do the real checking out and buying. LOML told me before we left; "Don't break the bank!", my fault was not asking, "Define break the bank" before we left. Anyway, came back with lots of small but of course usefull "goodies" among which was a Kreg Master PocketHole set. Had a small pockethole jig but wanted a more usefull outfit for a long while. Saturday nite we had a great meal at Ruby Tuesday (good bar as well). All in all a grand weekend. We usually divie up the trip by one of us paying the cost of getting there, one buys the motel and the other one buys the meals. Works pretty fair that way. Spent today putting away all the stuff and setting up the Kreg jig system. Most of the stuff at the show in 10% off catalog prices so its worth it all.

Sounds great, I will be attending the show in Chicago on Oct. 7th. Anyone else going to be there then?John Hunter -
Strangely enough my first woodworking show was last year and guess what I picked up?!? A Kreg Master System! It's a rare project that doesn't get some sort of Kreg love. I live in Calgary and this year's show doesn't happen until November. I wonder what will catch my eye this year.
Glad you had fun!

I'm waffling. I started a thread a while back: http://www.bt3central.com/newreply.p...reply&p=214162 So chime in over there.
