    Stanely planes on Ebay

Yes, that's right. A seller has misspelled entries for about half a dozen good-looking vintage Stanleys. Her mistake is your gain. With 2 days to go, the prices are really low.

In the old days I wouldn't have told you guys this--I would have snarfed them up for myself! But, as part of my 12-step program (and at the risk of a divorce) I can't bid for more planes right now, so I thought I'd pass this on.

Search on Ebay for "Stanely plane" and you'll find what I mean.

Thanks for the post. I know a guy that has a whole predetermined string of misspelled possibilities and searches them all. Can get some good deals that way.

Does anyone know if that #4 handle will work on a 4-1/2?

Tote should be the same. I will have to check out the listings. While on vacation I got behind and haven't had a chance to catch up yet.

I believe that the #4 1/2 tote has the second screw hole in it so it would not be the same as a #4.
