    595lb Black Bear

    This bear was killed yesterday about 2 hours from here.
    He had been getting into garbage cans, etc. in a residential area so had to be shot.
    Good thing a drunk oil worker (imagine that) didn't come across him.

      I suppose it's an Alberta thing.
      The town where this bear was (Fox Creek) only exists to service the oilfield. All there is in the town is motels, bars and gas stations.
