Just hit it with a hammer

I've got a framing hammer in my shop that says no info will be recovered from my old phone.

I gave mine to the Resident Artist and she took it apart and used it for clay impressions. I kinda think it's hosed.
But yea, short of total destruction, the data is going to be there. To wit: ebay'd hard drives.

I saw a segment on this on the Early Show the other morning. So much for donating my phones to a group that refurbishes them for battered women. But I don't keep anything in my phone except for phone numbers.

Got in a discussion with my cousin about this type of stuff a while back. How even the memory sticks in your pc can retain the last data, in and out and what it takes to recover that info. While that isn't available to most people, look at all the people who say "no one wants the info off my old pc". It's that mentallity that you'll find with people and thier cell phones.

On the other side, even a cell phone can't help stupidity. Google 911 divorce. (I actually remember reading that one in the paper).
She couldn't tell the difference between the escape pod, and the bathroom. We had to go back for her.........................Twice.
