Using much lumber, the NY Yankess have completed their latest project, a handmade spanking of the BoSox. Evidencing their professional woodworking skills, Yankees craftsmen embarassed the BoSox by sweeping them their own workshop in the first 5 game series between the two since the 1950's. Manager Joe Torre said that the new lumber and woodworkers worked as well as those old woodworkers , adding that losers remain losers over 50plus years. Many Boston fans were amazed to see more lumber-jacks than at the all-star series home run derby. There were also many hand-turned double-plays by the New York craftsmen. NY is coming to town tomorrow for 3 games and the way our Mariners have been playing I wouldn't be surprised to see them get another sweep.
They are a hungry bunch.

It all depends on where you are in NJ. Where I live, you're supposed to be a Phillies fan. And Yankee stadium is closer to NJ than Shea is...

Mets?

Mets suck. And not becuase the Yankees are better, but because they're not the cubs. The way I figure it, the cubs are the all time best. We could win every year, but why? Boring. So, since I like the cubs, I can't move out east and root for either the neighboring NL teams. Plus, philly is 1.5 hours away and Queens is probably that long in traffic.

So, I picked a team from the other league, the cheater league, of which I knew little about since Chicago doesn't have an AL team. I think somewhere in Illinois some team named the Sox plays, but it ain't from Chicago. They must be from Dubuque or Gary. So, what would you have me do? Change loyalties to the mets? Or root for boston or baltimore when the Bronx is right over the GW bridge, and likely only 15 miles from my home as the crow flies.

Well, the Yankees still created one-heckuva great piece of woodworking with that series.
