    I can't help it...

I'm drawn to Rockler and Woodcraft like a moth to a light. I know I should stay away, but I can't. I never come out of either place without something in a bag. Yesterday, for example...Had no real need to go to Rocker - but went anyway. The light beckoned. Came outta there with a cool circle cutter jig for my router, a clamp edge guide (which I really did need) and an upspiral cutting bit to cut the circles. Of course, I'm not going to need anything of this until this god awful heat wave breaks and who knows when that's going to happen! Now my son starts back to school next week and it is located about 3 minutes from the Woodcraft store...oh no!!... Anyone else have this affliction? Good thing I don't live close to a Grizzly store. Whew!

I have House of Tools within 5 minutes of work and will soon have HD 2 blocks from home.
Also, Lee Valley and Busy Bee Tools (Grizzly clone) are only 5 blocks apart. Both are on the other side of the city 30 minutes away but they have very strong lights, especially on Saturdays when LOML works. The ring road that will get me to them in half that time will be done in 2 years and I live 2 minutes from an interchange.

What you describe is the only saving grace of living somewhere where there is no Rockler and the closest WC or HF is 30 miles away. Of course I'm a sucker for online shopping - does it ever end?

Less that 20 minutes from me are three HD's, two Lowes, Woodcraft and a place called The Tool Shed. They used to keep me broke until I ran out of room. Now I am selling some things I don't use so I guess they will start seeing me a little more again.

Lee Valley 10 minutes away, busy Bee and Rideout tools 10 minutes the other. I work on the oil rigs, unfortunatly we have internet, I'm on a rig right now. Today I ordered a shark guard, anti kick back pawls and 3 zero clearance inserts. Last week a wide table kit from ordertee and one of those cool new digital levels from some place. To easy to spend.

            Regards, Daryl

Rockler, On Line is my only option they sure know their business, every order comes with an new catalog. Just can't look at one without seeing something I "need".

I do have to wait 6 to 10 days for free delivery, gives me time to think of a project to explain why I need it.

I went and drooled over a PM2000 TS last week at an industrial machine showroom. Had to wipe off the cast iron table so it wouldn't rust. It's outrageously expensive, $2200, but it is a beast, a neighbor magnet for miles around, and has the coolest built in caster system you have ever seen. The sheer massiveness is a thing to behold and I imagine it cuts like butter. No tools to remove and replace the riving knife, only one wrench needed to change the blade and the throat plate simply lifts out with no screws to undo. Thank god I don't have room in my garage. I don't have the money lying around either but I could always find a way somehow. Someday...

A block of wood as a stop for the blade and my BT3K only needs one wrench. Also, don't put the screws in the TP and no screws to remove.

                      Great,

Now you did it. Reminded me that since I have a speaker kit on the way, I will soon (within a couple weeks) need to cut holes in the cabinet, so I'll need a circle jig or something similar. Plus, I'll need to route a rabbet around some of the holes. Well, I guess I'll be stopping at Woodcraft and maybe HF on the way home from work sometime soon (both are less than 10 minutes out of my way going home)

                        No Safe Way Home

On my way home from work there is a HF,HD and a Lowes with out going off my regular route. But as of last week the company that I work for was bought out by a competitor, so there is a very good chance that I won't be driving home from there very much longer. It should save me some money and give me a chance to see what other opportunitys are out there.

Same here: I just got a new job, and now have Woodcraft, Harbor Freight, Ace Hardware, Lowe's, and TWO Home Depots on my commute.
