One sleepless night I found a program on how they made that and how much sand and time it took to develop that. It was pretty amazing how it was done. Of course I fell asleep during the show and didn't catch the middle to the end of it.

The one thing that I found interesting was the boat that actually poured the sand into that formation. The tube must have been about 10ft in diameter and shot the sand out about 10 to 20 ft. I was interesting I hope to try and find it again or go to National Geographic and see if I can find it there. Because that is the channel I believe it was on.

Also heard that it was QUITE expensive to have an apartment there

I saw that show. I think it was Discovery channel. So this place is actually finished? and people are living there?

If you go to Google earth and go to Dubai, you can see the beginnings of the second Palm they're building.

I don't think I'd ever want to live there. They probably would frown on my work shop and my motorcycle.

I see things like that and think to myself, if everyone who lived there purchased a more practical house, then pooled the remaining money they would have spent on that excess, they could pick some third-world country and probably completely elimnate poverty for those people. In the end, I bet it would bring them a lot more satisfaction as well.

Then again, don't understand the desire to live in Snootsville...
