    Like anything, the more this gets shown, the more people will try it. However for "watchfull neighborhood", when I was a kid and our house was broken into, our neighbors DID watch it, they thought we were moving and didn't tell anyone , so you better hope they are more then voyeurs.
    As for x10 camera's mentioned earlier, the local law enforcement busted some people here a few years ago, driving around with a van and an x10 reciever hooked to a vcr, mapping their route and being able to SEE in peoples houses due to those. The hardwired, network camera's are more secure.
    She couldn't tell the difference between the escape pod, and the bathroom. We had to go back for her.........................Twice.

      I remember seeing a story about a thief who broke into the home of a guy who had his motion activated cameras hooked to his home computer. Somebody broke in and the cameras did their thing, and pictures of the thief were emailed to the police before the computer was stolen. Police were able to catch the guy.
      I really am going to make something one of these days.
