    Bad Days!

My father has said many times that some people have bad days, but he has bad years.....

    My question to you is-

"What was your worst day of your life?"

Don't know that I've had my worst day yet. I've had bad days, good days and great days but, I'd be hard pressed to name the worst.

The day my 22yr old nephew died. Well he wasn't an official nephew, but he might as well have been. He was a wild one as a teen. He worked very hard to overcome that and was an Army Ranger. I was oh so proud of him. He survived two tours in Afghanistan then got hit while he was riding his motorcycle.

The worst day of my liife

The worst day of my life was a day fours ago when they told me that they suspected that I had Lung Cancer! They ran a bunch tests, X-rays, Bronchospy, biopsy, MRI, Ultrasound, Blood Tests, the works!

After I woke up from the Bronchial proceedure, I got dressed and went home. They hadn't told me results of the proceedure (at least I didn't realize that they had) and after about three weeks, I got worried! They told me what the results were before I had fully recovered and I didn't hear what the Doctor said.

To make a long story short, THEY FOUND NOTHING!

Best news yet! No matter how sophisticated we get, tests may be wrong.

Ain't dead yet so I can't say. Guess I have yet to have that day.... no doubt I have had some lows, but what the future holds, no one can say.

Worst day of my life? That's easy: 31 March 2003, the day I was diagnosed with Stage IV cancer of the oropharynx (base of tongue).

But as things have turned out, that was also the best day of my life.

Thursday it seems like at this point in time?

I’ve been both a part time and full time caregiver for my mother with Alzheimer’s disease for longer than I can remember.
I had always hoped that her last day could be spent at home but on Thursday I brought her to a nursing home.
                      One lucky Mom!
In trying to sort it all out she just turned 90 on July 15th and never had a sick day in her life.
Her loving and caring family took care of her until it couldn’t be done at home anymore.
I just returned from the nursing home and she aint doing very well.
No body lives forever, she had a wonderful life!

First, when mom died in '93. Then when my sister died in '99. No immediate family left.

1977--I went to pick up my two young kids for my weekend visitation, and found the house empty. My ex-wife had moved without telling me. I sat in my car and cried for an hour. I had some very evil thoughts that day.

My father came over to my house to keep me company while I was having a garage sale. At the end of the days sale I went to retrieve my signs. While I was gone (just a few minute) my father had a heart attack in my driveway. I return to find him there with the neighbors standing over him. I performed CPR intil paramedics arrived and took him to the hospital. The doctors said he was gone for a while but they brought him back with the meds but he would need a pacemaker to survive but because of the amount of time he was out he'd probably have significant brain damage. I had to inform the doctor he had a do not recesitate order in his walet and let him go. He passed on 1/2 hour later.

The day I got a call on the cell phone from my wife telling me she had just had an accident and totaled the car. When I got to the scene, saw the cars, all the emergency equipment and wife, granddaughter and her mother sitting in the median being treated rates right there for my worse day ever. Fortunately, no one was seriously hurt.
