It's going to take me a while to memorize this list, because I may make it to the "Who Wants To Be A Millionaire" show. Some of those facts are really incredible.

Pretty clever, but #5 is definitely false. Look it up in snopes.com.

            Oops--#14 is wrong too.

Some of them are definitely true, such as #10 and #31. Don't know about the rest, but if you do have a scorpion or a raisin handy...

Susan Lucci is not the daughter of Phyllis Diller. Snopes.com confirms this.

I could've run these through Snopes but was too lazy. Besides, whether or not Susan Lucci is the daughter of Phyllis Diller makes no difference to me - esp since I don't know who either one of them are.

Ha, that was my first thought when I read it! Unfortunately, I let a co-worker take him for his collection (no, I didn't ask what else he "collected").

I'd say #11 is off too. When I was a kid, we had a terrier mix that was no more than 10 lbs wet. One day we went out and left an unopened bag of Hershey's Kisses on the coffee table. When we came home every single one was gone and there was a mess of foil wrappers under the table. The dog never even got sick.

I've read that dark chocolate and bakers chocolate are more harmful to dogs, but regular milk chocolate that most of us usually eat, it would require quite a bit to do any harm to the dog.

You guys can check on that too.

Apples: the forbidden fruit, Reference to item #33

The USAF single seat fighter planes in service about the middle of the last century didn't have pressurized cockpits.
Some of the pilots of that era would tell of agonies endured after they had dinner with the family then were suddenly called for a flight. The food guidelines were being evaluated and revised almost daily. A simple thing like an apple or Waldorf salad would cause agony if the gas expanded in a pocket.
Adults of that era didn't discuss such things in mixed company.
