    Computer Games - PC Online

I remember seeing a thread on this not too long ago, but can't seem to find it. Who all plays PC games? Online? Which ones? Systems (PC, PS2, XBOX)?

I like to play FPS (first person shooters). Get my blood pumping, and if you can hookup with decent enough people, you can play some cool team based missions. I love Ghost Recon series, and Rainbow Six. I do like Unreal Tournament, and Battlefield, Call of Duty.

Used to strictly play sports games until I got hooked on the FPS games.

I used to play EverQuest heavily (a massive online RPG), but about a year and a half ago, changes in lifestyle (got a child, bought a house) made it impossible for me to play online. I still play games some, but only those I can put on pause indefinitely, without inconveniencing a bunch of other people. Which means single-player games only.

I love FPS games, most recently played: HalfLife 2, F.E.A.R. I prefer those games that capitalize on stealth, however (i.e. Thief). I love RPGs (Oblivion etc), and dabble in strategy a bit (mostly Civilization).

I play games only on PC. Don't own any consoles.

PC - currently Battlefield 2, City of Heroes. Got to do something until the garage has room to work in.

PC, mostly historical FPSes (Call of Duty series, Medal of Honor series, Black Hawk Down, Ghost Recon) and some strategy titles (C2 Red Alert series, Warcraft III, Direct Action). Hard to find the time between work, baby, and house, but it's a good way to blow off steam when mommy and baby are sleeping.

For a quick fix I like to fire up the MAME arcade emulator for some Police Trainer or skeet shooting action. (Too hard to find time to get to a range, though I welcome any recommendations for good ones West/South of Boston).

I used to play online with medal of honor on PC. Madden NFL, Socom 1,2 and 3 on PS2 but I have not played for almost a year now.. Busy with work, house projects and woodworking... I have a PS2, PSP, and PC games collecting dust. Thinking of selling so I can use the money for a drill press but my wife does not want me to

I used to play Everquest pretty heavily also, but when it got to the point that you almost HAD to play 5+ hours every day I shut it off...then took up woodworking. /sigh

I use to play Delta Force and StarCraft online when they first came out, but too many people were using cheats and it just ruined it. I still play PS2 games every once in a while. I like race games mostly, games like Grand Turismo (1,2,4), Need for Speed, Driver and Burn Out. Also like strategy games, but don't have enough free time anymore to really play them(civilization, colonization, War Craft, Masters of Orion). But lately I've just been playing Mercinaries, because I can drive in it (jeeps, tanks, buses.....), but get to cause massive destruction too( which is my way of venting stress). I got SOCOM 1-2, but only played them a couple times, it just takes too long to complete the missions.

I play PC only, and only single player games at that, because dial-up sucks. Too far out in the hills for real internet. That, and satellite internet is too expensive for my taste. I love RPGs! I have been playing Elder Scrolls III Oblivion for over a year now. Love FallOut 2, Deus Ex.

I'm guessing you're talking about Morrowind or the other ES games as Oblivion has only been out for ~5 months. I enjoy those games as well.

However, I'm a bigger fan of the turn based strategy (Battle for Wesnoth is a nice freebie with lots of user created campaigns) and/or tactical simulation games.

I'll play online RPG games (DAoC, WoW), but just for the social aspect with friends. Can't bring myself to invest hours per day like some folks.

I like WWII combat flight sims (Secret Weapons of the Luftwaffe, Janes WWI Fighters), Star Wars flight combat sims (TIE Fighter, XWA, XvT, etc.) and tried my hand at an MMORPG a few years ago (Star Wars Galaxies). It was the latter that made me realize that if I was EVER going to get past binding wood in a saw blade, I'd have to stop getting my tan from a 17" monitor and put in some regular shop time.

Yeah, Morrowind, that's what I meant. lol I've just been looking at Oblivion for a while now. But I do not want to get it until I beat Morrowind! It does not help that I am playing Halo. I D/L it a few days ago, almost beat it already. Pretty cool game, I just never really looked at it before. I used to be into gaming bigtime, but I really have too many interests to stay with that one. Especially since I put lots of money and time into, and I really get nothing out of it. Nothing measurable, I mean. I like to use games as an alternate reality that I can escape to when I need to

haven't played in a while, but my favorite's Kaboom! on my Atari.(where is that darn thing? - anybody seen the cartridge?)

once the joystick was replaced by whatever that universal controller is now called, i found i didn't have the skill set to operate it with any kind of efficiency. now if i want to kill a few minutes i might play Zuma at msn game zone

The unreal tournament series, Call of Duty, Medal of Honor, Need for speed, and several others.

                          Quake 1 ,2 3, & 4.

At least an hour every day playing quake 3 freezetag online. Here in NZ we have a very strong Quake scene.

Also I will be attending a Quake 3 lan tommorow.

Between work, wood work and PC games there just aint enough hours in a day.

EQ1 and 2 for a while. WoW for the 10 day trial. DoD and Battlefield 2. Not much of anything for a while. Started Oblivion, but kind of taking the summer off on games. I like most of the FPS types and the turn based RPG's.

I write games for a living, and also play. Quake has been a long time favorite, and I worked on Unreal. Just finished Postal 2, XIII, and Fable.
