I borrowed my dad's flatbed trailer today. 14' long and rated to carry vehicles. My little trailer wouldn't handle the bricks I was getting. I heard some squeaking coming from the trailer. I just figured that is what the wheels do on a 35yr old trailer. On the way to where I was going for the bricks we stopped to look at some furniture. Discovered it wasn't squeeky wheels, it was ringing tow chains on pavement.
Somehow they got loose from the hitch and the hooks on the ends got knocked off somewhere on the road. We stopped at the Borg and I got new hooks.
I discovered if you want to derust something, tie it to your bumper and drag it down the road. My dad has some bright shiny tow chains now.
