NTSB Secret Project

The National Transportation Safety Board recently divulged they had covertly funded a project with the US auto makers for the past five years, whereby the auto makers were installing black box voice recorders in four-wheel drive pickup trucks in an effort to determine, in fatal accidents, the circumstances in the last 15 seconds before the crash.

They were surprised to find in 44 of the 50 states the recorded last words of drivers in 61.2 percent of fatal crashes were, "Oh, S**T!"

Only the states of Oklahoma, Tennessee, Arkansas, Alabama and Texas were different.

There, 89.3 percent of the final words were:

"Hold my beer and watch this."

My wife had a cousin in North Carolina that actually was involved in such an incident. Medical Examiner found that it was "death by misadventure".

Now we know that's not funny but there are still times when the mood is right and good friends are over and we've had a few and one of us will pop up with "hold my beer and watch this".

For those of you who enjoy watching other people do stupid things there is a show on CMT, on friday nights called Country Fried Home Videos, hosted by Bill Engvall. This show has things that some people do and video tape themselves doing it. It is like a redneck Funniest Home Videos. I have watched it and some if it seems pretty funny. If anything it is entertaining to watch.

A preview for this weeks show has a woman shooting a pistol and one of the cartridges comes back to her and down her American flag style bikini top and she says some thing about it being hot. I am going to try and catch this weeks show and have Mark watch as well.

Just thought I would share this with you all because I have lots of time on my hands and really don't have much to do.
