Flight Check List - Problem Solved????????

After every flight, pilots fill out a form called a gripe sheet, which conveys to the mechanics problems encountered with the aircraft during the flight that need repair or correction. The mechanics read and correct the problem, and then respond in writing on the lower half of the form what remedial action was taken, and the pilot reviews the gripe sheets before the next flight.
Never let it be said that ground crews and engineers lack a sense of humor. Here are some actual logged maintenance complaints and problems as submitted by Quantas pilots with the solutions recorded by maintenance engineers. By the way, Quantas is the only
major airline that has never had a “premature landing”.

(P = The problem logged by the pilot.)
(S = The solution and action taken by the mechanics)

P: Left inside main tire almost needs replacement.
S: Almost replaced left inside main tire.

P: Test flight OK, except auto-land very rough.
S: Auto-land not installed on this aircraft.

    P: Something loose in cockpit.
    S: Something tightened in cockpit.

    P: Dead bugs on windshield.
    S: Live bugs on backorder.

P: Autopilot in altitude-hold mode produces a 200 feet per minute
    descent.
S: Cannot reproduce problem on the ground.

P: Evidence of leak on right main landing gear.
    S: Evidence removed.

    P: DME volume unbelievably loud.
    S. DME volume set to more believable level.

P: Friction locks cause throttle levers to stick.
    S. That’s what they are there for.

    P: IFF inoperative.
S: IFF always inoperative in OFF mode.

    P: Suspected crack in windshield.
    S: Suspect you’re right.

    P: Number 3 engine missing.
S: Engine found on right wing after brief search.

    P: Aircraft handles funny.
S: Aircraft warned to straighten up, fly right, and be serious.

    P: Target radar hums.
S: Reprogrammed target radar with lyrics.

    P: Mouse in cockpit.
    S: Cat installed.

P: Noise coming from under instrument panel. Sounds like a midget
pounding on something with a hammer.
S: Took hammer away from midget.

Yeah, these were actual complaints, but I think the ground crew just made them funny. Anyway if you like getting in a sealed aluminum tube that goes 600 mph at 30 thousand feet, go right ahead. Bet you don't even know the pilots name on your last flight.

BTW, I posted the laughing babies thinking you would find it funny, but no reply. If you were a plumber, I would find a funny plumbing video. I would. Could it be you were laughing so hard you couldn't type? Actually, I didn't think it was funny either.

Had to do a search for laughing babies to find that post. Didn't show up when I did 'new posts' at any time. I have often thought there was something wrong with the 'new posts' option but this is the first time I can be certain it didn't show a post.

Anyway --- after posting a response to laughing babies -------

I finally hit senior member status - 500 posts!

          i love this one...

I saw this years ago, it's still funny today. It's what I would be doing if I was an airline mechanic.

Mildoc: Congrats on your senior moment!!

What's the hoopla about Senior Member, and 500 posts? When you're staring down an infants throat or up their a$$-does it matter? NO
Anyway, we don't need to be doing constructive things, just fun things like sitting at a keyboard and monitor.

Always laugh at this, first time I saw it, was given a copy by an former airline mechanic, when we were cleaning a relatives plane (capt, not owner). But if you were worried about this, have you ever seen FAA duct tape?
She couldn't tell the difference between the escape pod, and the bathroom. We had to go back for her.........................Twice.

I liked all of them especially the one about the engine missing.
