    Happy Day

Okay I just wanted to wish you all a Happy Fathers Day. I know that many of the members on here are DADS.

Have a good day and don't work to hard out in the shop.

I know Mark is working on Fathers Day, but that was what he wanted to do and so today I didn't nag him at all about not doing anything, even when I hinted that I needed a cup rack to hang under the cupboard to clear out the coffee mugs in the cabinet to make room for the kids plastic cups But oh well I can make that on my own.

Any ways you all have a HAPPY FATHERS DAY

Thank you for thinking of us Melissa. We appreciate it. I probably won't get any shop time in. My daughters all go to different churches from me but we go together on fathers day. After that we will eat and just spend the afternoon together and when the day ends I will be worn out from playing with the grandchildren but I love it.

The best part about Fathers Day is getting hugs from six grandsons at once...
...eight, nine, TEN! Yep! Still got all my fingers!

Thank you! I got a hand made picture frame from my 3 year old granddaughter today (okay, mom helped) that says "Great dads get promoted to grandpas". That brought a tear to eye!

I'd like to add my wishes to all you dads for a wonderful Father's Day, as well. You all make a great impact on the lives of your children (even if they're 'all grown up').

My kids asked me what I wanted for Father's Day and I told them "some quality time in the shop". They kind of rolled their eyes, but that's basically what I got! That, and breakfast in bed courtesy of the 2 girls, and a gift certificate to the Gap. (I think they thought Dad needed a little updating in the style dept., since the last summer clothes I bought were in 1998.)

And, my youngest daughter made me a card (don'tcha love the homemade cards) that said, "You're the greatest--when I grow up I want to be just like you." Brought tears to my eyes...

              A good day all around!

I had a great father's day. I got a IPOD Nano from my wife and son. Usually I get a card.

But the best present was Saturday night we were sitting around talking and my son mentioned a canoe was for sell in the neighbor. He and I went out and bought the thing, a 40 year old Gruman 17 ft. square stern. Father's Day we took a maiden voyage down the Olentangy river that is in my back yard.
It's a great way to spent time with a 21 year old son.
