    Kentucky Artisan Center

    This weekend we stopped off in Berea, Ky on the way to a wedding in Dayton. Guy was working on "dough bowls", finished version seen to the left. He said takes about 10 hours start to finish. He was working on a block of poplar, first time I had seen a reddish tint in poplar - he made the same comment.

    Also some pics of end table for sale that caught my eye. Clear A&C/Mission/G&G influence - Price $370.

      Cool stuff Ken.
      I have actually seen red tint in poplar. Even purple steaks and tinting. You see more purples than the reds. Poplar is one of my favorite woods to work, especially when its figured with streaks of greens and purlples.
