    For you RC fans!

I came across this video today. He's flying this
    plane inside a gymnasium. Enjoy.

WOW! Don't know what that guy was "on" but that is some flying. Makes my pattern flying look like I was only taxi'ing.

Amazing! Some "thumb-eye" coordination to manipulate the joysticks with that precision...

I have been eyeing those planes for almost a year now. That is actually what my "idea" of RC flying was back in the late 50's and 60's. (I had a vivid imagination back then.)

There is another technological advanced that is making the rounds too - the reverse pitch prop - so that the plane can be stopped dead still when in a dive.

        Great post! Enjoyed it.

Those Planes are just slabs of printed foam with an electric motor, micro servos and a wing loading about like a feather. Actually, very inexpensive, but to make them fly like THAT, requires a very skilled pilot.
I've seen a vid clip with a plane equiped with the variable pitch prop Hank mentioned. That was AWESOME!

Ok, so where do you find one of those? I have some skunks around here that I'd just love to harass with something like that. (maybe even with a 'bomb release' of my own)

While I see issues with the above being used in commercial airlines, and such (google bluetooth hacking, has happened with some cars), I think this is a neat idea, to make bigger rc planes. (our own uav's).
