    Hockey game tonight

I think everyone knows what team I'm cheering for to win the cup, but I will admit that I am going to be cheering for the Buffalo Sabres tonight.
I think we have a better chance against them.
Besides, playing hockey in June is bad enough without trying to have good ice in Carolina.

I was born and raised in Arkansas and currently live here, but I've been a hockey fan for several years. I traditionally have followed the Stars due to their proximity to me, but I'll watch just about any team that's playing. Unfortunately, I don't have OLN so I haven't been able to watch but about two games this year. Fortunately, I did get to go to a game in Denver in February - the Avs played Big Steel's beloved Oilers.

Anyway, I miss National Hockey Night on ESPN every Wednesday during the regular season. I still catch Barry Melrose on Sports Center during the hockey segment. I hope that they'll get the contract back with ESPN sometime.

I really don't understand how the NHL has not been able to get an agreement for coverage in the US on a mainstream network.
I know Fox did it, but they had that stupid "blue streak" to try and teach the game to new markets. It's no wonder that didn't work out. That was the most annoying thing I've ever seen.

The new game really is great and I think they should be trying to sell it better at least in the areas where hockey is played at any level.

I just read that the Oilers are bolting for NY to get away from distractions and get accustomed to the time change/warmer conditions. Smart move. Being a HUGE NYR(and hockey) fan, I love game 7's. I think I am pulling for Buffalo in this series and Edmonton in the next. Hey, if the Rangers ain't in it, I might as well root for the guys who were on their '94 cup team (Lowe, MacTavish). Luckily for my my cable provider (Cablevision) reached an agreement with OLN about a week into the season and now it's part of the main package.

Nothing could be finer than to be in Carolina. 'Nuff said I think. Go 'Canes!
