    I am gloating, for sure.

One of my Mexican tenants just came to my office, and brought me lunch. She brought: Mexican rice with carrots and onions, Pinto beans, and Ground Beef with onions, chopped potatoes, and what I think is ham. Also four (4) freshly baked Tortilla's and homemade salsa.
Talk about contentment, I have plenty.
Just wanted to let you guys know, and gloat a little. Thanks for letting me.

Yum. Today I had School Lunch (nothing in the fridge--gotta go shopping): limp salad, vaguely beige meat, and fries.

One of the best lunches I ever had was when I did a favor for the FACS (Family and Consumer Sciences; back in the day we called it Home Ec) teacher. Her students appeared at my desk with a covered dish and paper napkins over their arms, fancy waiter style. They made me chicken cordon bleu, fresh French bread, the best French onion soup I have ever tasted, and for dessert scratch-made chocolate mousse. Outstanding!

    Bon appetit!

I love Mexican food, but that's the one problem with it, you often can't tell what's in it. That ham could be armadillo, cat, rat, ellyphant, dog, unicorn, duckbilled platypus, how would ya know?

Sure tastes good though, so who cares?

Free lunch tomorrow at a pretty good place here in town. Then free dinner on Monday night. I like it when clients come to town.

Having done a little time in both Mexico and Korea, dog is meat stringy. It doesn't have the consistancy of good beef or ham. Closer to the taste of beef but, with all the spices in both types of food it's kinda hard to tell. You just about have to ask. They'll own up to it in Korea. Quiet proudly in fact. They raise dogs for food there. Never had anyone admit to dog meat in tacos or tomales in Mexico though.

                PS

Don't share this thread with my lab. He'll get a little out of sorts. Of course, he thinks his canned food is all sirloin.

Charlie's was on BC street -- every aircrew that went in there would see how many tacos they could eat and then put up a posters attesting the feat.. We had a crew of 18 so those Squids in the P-3s didn't have a chance. Anyway a week after we gorged ourselves, the local cops caught old Charlie with a freezer full of cats. Ymmmm
