    Clickable Tree Species Map

    I ran across a rather interesting website the other day. It's a clickable map showing the species of trees in any u.s. state or canada. just move the mouse over any state/province and it will show the number of tree species in that state(i.e. texas - 304). click the state and it will then show the detailed list of trees. here's the url:

    this may, of course, already have been posted by someone before - my apologies if this is very old stuff!!

      Thanks rick that's a neat site.
      Although not the most popular usage for hardwoods on this site I heat with many different species of maple ETC. and I had one I couldn't name.

      You folks don't want to know!
