    Senior Dress Code

Many of us "Old Folks" (those over 50, WAY over 50, or hovering near 50) are quite confused about how we should present ourselves. We are unsure about the kind of image we are projecting and whether or not we are correct as we try to conform to current fashions. Despite what you may have seen on the streets, the following combinations DO NOT go together And should be avoided:

    1. A nose ring and bifocals
    2. Spiked hair and bald spots
    3. A pierced tongue and dentures
    4. Miniskirts and support hose
    5. Ankle bracelets and corn pads
    6. Speedo's and cellulite
    7. A belly button ring and a gall bladder surgery scar
    8. Unbuttoned disco shirts and a heart monitor
    9. Midriff shirts and a midriff bulge
    10. Bikinis and liver spots
    11. Short shorts and varicose veins
    12. Inline skates and a walker

    And last, but not least

    13. Thongs and Depends

I wonder how long it'll take me to get rid of some of those images (especially 4 and 11)?

Personally, I think number 9 should apply to folks of all ages. Just because short shirts and low pants are fashionable, doesn't mean you will look good wearing 'em

I am of the younger generation and I have seen people my age wearing those kinds of things and I don't think anyone should wear those combinations, IMO.

But if and when your children (mine are 10) see those things and can't keep quiet about how people look in them and voice that opinion before the person in question is out of ear shotyou learn to walk a little quicker and tell the child "shush...we will talk later."

I think you forgot one, that I used to see on a friend of mine: Dress socks and flip flops.
She couldn't tell the difference between the escape pod, and the bathroom. We had to go back for her.........................Twice.
