I don't visit many forums but I spend time here. I have seen some other forums - they feel like Pompei. You go there once and it is fun but there is no reason to come back again - everything stays the same for centuries. This forum is alive and vibrant. I believe this is in large part thanks to the wisdom of the moderator of this forum - Sam. I suggest to all of you people - listen to the wise man unless you want this place to look like routerforum or a forum for Ryobi tools. There are many good people around us but keeping a comunity of several thousand people together and out of trouble take significant skills. If Sam says that he wants some topic to die out on its own rather than being locked - he makes perfect sense. Having a lot of talk over a poorly worded phrase is silly, imposing censorship as a remedy is not a good solution either, passive solutions are often better than active.
And now changing the subject - I am completely at a loss about recent Sears clearance logic. Yesterday I picked up on clearance Freud 1/2" round-over router bit with 1/2" shank for $3. The same bit with 1/4" shank was not on clearance for about $30. Can anyone explain the logic or should I just say thanks, grab a bit and run? I already have a 1/2" roundover bit but as Larry says - bits are consumables. I have hard time resisting this kind of a bargain.
