I just had something strange happen

I just had something strange happen; I created a new thread in the “Project Related Discussions” section. I hit the submit and even read it afterward. Now it is not there! Completely disappeared! Has anyone else seen this?

Did you hit the preview button instead of submit?

I have had the same thing happen. I don't know if this is a Java or cookie problem with our computers or maybe a bug in system hardware.

For your informaiton, the post is there. Whether you can see it or not is another matter.

Do this:

1. Click on your name and go to your profile.

2. Look down at the part that says something about "find all posts" by kwgeorge;

3. click on that. It should reveal your post that is lost. If you do find it that way, make a change or update to it and see if that jogs it enough so that it shows up under normal circumstances for you.

I have found three or four of mine that did not show up in normal search or clicking on a post. I even have some screen shots of a post of mine that does not show up any other way.

I've had some similar problems. Just now, in fact, I was at the Coffee Pot forum level, saw this thread listed by kwgeorge with '2' in the Replies column, last by leehljp. Opened the thread . . . and saw only the initial entry by kwgeorge. Backed out to Coffee Pot, opened the thread again, and saw all three entries. Have had similar experiences in other threads. The info is apparently still there, but won't always display the first time you try.

I have something like that happen in my own brain once in a while. Perhaps the forum software is similarly contaminated by stale barley malt and agave residue...
