Freya Build

I couldn't wait any longer and had to start putting my Freya together. This is how it looked after completeing steps 1-7. Total elasped time at this point about 4 hours.

Oh! it took a few moments to figure out what a Freya was. This is you latest and greatest RC Copter. That looks kinda big, Have fun and enjoy keep posting pictures. Never go into the RC thing but have done other modeling. and even built a HO railroad layout. LOML doesn't want any hobbies says I have to many, hey keeps me out of bars and at home.

Yep, she's a big'um. When complete, the main rotor span will be about 63" or about 10" larger than my Evo.
The landing struts I'm using are "after-market" and really make the whole thing look bigger. Believe it or not, the stock struts were about 1/2" narrower thatn the those on the Evo. I was afaid that would make the Freya too "tippy" so I went the the wider struts. Now, I didn't waste the Freya struts, I reversed them and put them on the Evo for a "sportier" look. Don't you think it looks fasy just sitting there?

That is one cool chopper, I like the rake of the struts to the skids. I have a friend who is ito RC Aircraft and he build Choppers and has also built a very large F4 Phantom with a with what I think is a jet engine. Sacramento used to have two very large AF Bases so there are a lot RC Plane around based on what was stationed here. Like I said before my wife has put the brakes on my hobbies, would love to build some RC stuff but I would have give up other hobbies to free up time and money.
