    Avatars

Do you folks have a sorce for avatars that you list beside your names on your posts? Is it something that you can create yourself?
    TIA,

All men dream, but not equally. Those who dream by night in the dusty recesses of their minds wake in the day to find that it was vanity: but the dreamers of the day are dangerous men, for they may act their dream with open eyes, to make it possible

Type "Avatars" into Google...you'll get several websites where you download some.

You can use your own images. Just size them to the max size Sam has setup. I believe it is 80 by 80.

                found some

Well I went and googled Avatars and then found some after lots of searching. Found a site with Disney avatars and looking around on that site found lots of other ones also. It was kind of fun looking around that one. But I am still going to get a good picture of my kids to put up there. But for now the flag works well for me.

How do you select an avatar. I loaded one but can not figure how to display it.

Save the custom avatar to your computer, wherever you'd like it to remain, then under the User CP, on the Avatar page, near the bottom, is a dialog box labeled upload an avatar from your computer, with a Browse button next to it. Use that to direct where your avatar is saved.

Johnny's method is correct, HOWEVER note that you must be a forum Patron to use a custom avatar.

Which reminds me: is there any indication (other than custom avatars and custom user titles) of who is and is not a Patron? If there is, I've not found it.
