After seeing that , all of our little tables and boxes seem ... inadequate, somehow.

Is that a HF DC I see in one pic? In a pro shop like that? Interesting.

Apparently you guys broke the site. I can't get there.

Judging from your posts, that might be a good thing!

The stairway is impressive but decidedly not my style. I would dread buying a home that had a staircase like that - I would realize that tearing it down would be sheer idiocy, and would hate it every time I saw it. What is that on top of newels anyway? Urns with his family ashes?

The shop is darn impressive. I guess he has a whole army of helpers there. I would feel lost and cold alone in all that space.

Now wood storage... I wish I had as much space for that. The simple truth is: the more lumber storage room you have, the less you pay for lumber. Anytime you come across a great deal, buy the whole lot and stash it.

That whole thing could be built in a single afternoon. If you don't believe me, just ask my WIFE!

Well I can't say much for his design chops (he's pretty kooky with the mahagony stair, the garage storage cabinets & that "thing" in the living room ), but his technical skill level is awesome. Wonderful complex curves, superb understanding of 3d space.

My favorite thing is his knotted walnut piece. But I can't find it again! His site is FILLED with amazing stuff to look at. Make sure you check out the airline cabinetry and the School Theatre project.

Note: It took me a few tries to understand I should click the "show all" button in his galleries.

Dang! that is some great-lookin' work he does. Hee must be very smart if he can get such good results with curves and the such.
