    Winter weather...

Welp I am lookin' at the snow/sleet outside - first winter weather we've had this season. Its not gonna stick - yesterday was 70 degrees - thats NC weather for ya. I'm glad I got some wood pulled in for the stove yesterday. Wouldn't want to do it today.

    Yup, winter's here

Yea, Winter's here too... We had 50+ days with temps in the 30's and Thrus 6in of snow, sleet, rain, thunder and lightning... Today temp when I got up was -12, don't know if my shop heater will keep up with the cold!
Oh well, I suppose one has to expect some cold in the middle of Feb!

It has been a wierd winter all over. Seattle has had an ungodly amount of rain this winter. The day before I left for a two week long business trip (Superbowl Sunday) it got sunny and has been pretty nice since. In Orlando it was between 30 at night and around 50 most days until the last day we left, of course it got warmer. Three days ago I flew to Bend OR for a two day meeting and it was 5 degrees with a wind chill factor of -20 and snowed eight inches yesterday morning when I flew out. Now I'm back home in Seattle and it's clear and cold. Last night hrew a log on the fire, watchin' the Olympics with the family, and got a Cap'n and Coke in my hand. Life is good.

85 yesterday, 32 today with freezing rain & sleet forecast off and on all weekend. When I lived in Pa. I thought of Texas as hot all year. I've since learned...

We got a dusting of snow, and that is most of what we have had in the way of winter weather here this year. We had one other snow of less than 1".
It is cold as heck here though, for us at least. It was 4 degrees this morning here. I miss the 60 degree temps we had a few weeks ago.

3 degrees here and it is probably -20 with the wind chill. Been snowing all night and day too.

Got you all beat. -4F daytime high and -22F at night. that is without the windchill of 20 MPH gusts.
This all after having record high temps of 40-50F for the last week or two.
Welcome to winter in Alberta. Still no snow to speak of though so it doesn't feel like winter.

Been a weird winter. We had around 26" of snow so far, I think 27" is average. First storm was 11" and the last one was 14", other 2 were just slush. December was 6degrees below normal, January was 9 above. For the last 3 or 4 weeks we have had a wind advisory or warning about ever 8 days.
I am expecting a volcanic eruption soon, but there aren't any around here

Well, yesterday it was -39°C here, with a 35km/h wind........convert that to F and it hits about -70° windchill. How's that? And LOML was out feeding cattle on an open station tractor in that. Tough girl! usually that's my job, but I got called back to work early.

Well, it's been in the teens in Shawnee Oklahoma all day with a coat of ice and then snow.
We really need any moisture we can get so even though I'd rather of had rain I won't gripe. Besides I know I wouldn't get any more sympathy from you guys up north than you'll get from me this summer when you're gripping about it being all the way up to 85

This is the coldest I've been in 3 years!

I just checked the temp. here (NE Oklahoma) ................ it's 19 degrees F. and we've got about 3 inches on the ground. :-(

I just moved about 200 miles "north" from Mena Arkansas and it didn't get this cold down there!

Got in the single digits last night. Warming up a bit today. The neighbor was walking his dog and saw me working. 15 minutes later he walked into my garage with a propane heater. 10 minutes later and I am warm and toasty. I should double check to make sure that I turned it off.
