    Forum migration tomorrow (2/12/2006)

    It's that time...

    I will be moving the site over to the new software tomorrow after I get home from church. I will lock the current forum at arounf 8:00am Eastern time tomorrow morning. I plan on taking my time with the conversion so I don't expect to have the site back up until around 8:00pm Eastern time tomorrow.

    Please remember that you will have to use the "Lost Password" feature to recover your password since that won't transfer. To get to that featurem, simply try to login with your current password and it will fail. The page it redirects you to after failing will have the "Lost Password" link.

    I have temporarily created a new e-mail address that I will use to address issues with users who cannot log in to the new forum. If you are unable to login after using the "Lost Password" feature or you do not receive the e-mail with the instuctions for resetting the password, send an e-mail to migrate@bt3central.com.

              Backup & archive everything Sam! They didn't do this at work because it was "a safe change" and poof, 14 million customer records went bye-bye. Had to recreate it from all the remote offices over two months.

                              Umm . . . here it is, noon Eastern time, and (1) the forum's not locked, (2) new forum's not up. My guess: some snag in the migration? Keep those fingers crossed, boys and girls!
